In the name of Allah Most Gracious and Most Merciful

All praises are due to Allah the Lord of all the worlds, who accepts from His slave’s deeds that are intended sincerely for His sake. I testify that there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah the uniquely One, who has no partners in His one-ness. And I testify that the Prophet Muhammad is the slave of Allah and His Messenger.

O Servants of Allah! Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah and Surah Naahl:

“And if you should count the favors of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”  (S.16  V.18)

I advise you slaves of Allah and myself with the Taqwa of Allah.

Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Taa-Haa and Surah Naahl:

We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness.”  (S.20  V.132)

“And whatever you have of favor – it is from Allah.”  (S.16  V.53)

From the greatest of these blessings and provision is the blessings of water and food by which Allah extends His favors to people. such means are the foundation of lives and allow for them to continue and endure.

Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Abasa:

“Then let mankind look at his food”  “- How We poured down water in torrents.”  “Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts],”  “and caused to grow within it grain.”  “And grapes and herbage.”  “And olive and palm trees.”  “And gardens of dense shrubbery.”  “And fruit and grass-“  “[As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock.”  (S.80  V.24—32)

So, let us show gratitude to Allah for the blessings of food and water by preserving them and safeguarding them for future generations. This means we develop its resources, provide it for those in need, and avoid extravagance with regard to its usage. Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah A’raaf:

And eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess.”  (S.7  V.31)

Remembers of the blessings of Allah. From the outward blessings upon people is the blessings of safety and security, for through it a person can attain happiness and civilizations can progress. Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Quraish:

“For the accustomed security of the Quraish”  “- Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer “

-Let them worship the Lord of this House,”  “Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.”  (S.106  V.1—4)

So, let us esteem these blessings with the esteem they deserve, and let us strive in expressing our gratitude, asking Allah that He keep these blessings with us. So, O Allah we pray that You accept all of us for Your obedience and bless us with obedience towards Your Messenger SAW, and obedience towards those whom You have ordered us to show obedience towards. The Prophet SAW said: “Whoever among you wakes up physically healthy, feeling safe and secure within himself, with food for the day, it is as if he acquired the whole world.” [Ibn Majah]   In other words, whosoever has blessings, wellbeing and health in their body, contentment in their hearts, comfort in their lives, they have been given of the most expansive of blessings. So, the obligation upon all of us is that we seek to preserve these blessings through gratitude to Allah and supplication for those who are the means by which this is provided to us. We should inculcate this in our children so the blessings can continue, for Allah increases His blessings on the one who is grateful.

Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Ibrahim:

“And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor].”  (S.14  V.7)

Allah is all praise, and all gratitude. You have given us food and nourished us, given us water and drink and quenched us. All of this has happened without any effort or ability from us. You have blessed us with the blessings of stability, safety, and security. O Allah, please continue for us these blessings, and bless us in it, and increase us in it.

May the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon prophet Muhammad SAW, his family, and all of his Companions. May Allah be pleased with the Rightly Guided Caliphs: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, and all those who will follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment.

O Allah! Guide us to the right path and accept all our worships
